Our Measurable Impact

Every order helps protect the planet your little one will grow up in. Here’s how Tenth & Pine makes a difference:

💧 91% Less Water – Organic cotton uses dramatically less water than conventional cotton.

♻️ Eco Packaging – D2W mailers break down 10x faster than traditional poly mailers.

🚚 Lower Carbon Footprint – Local production reduces emissions from overseas shipping.

🔄 Pass-It-Down Design – Neutral styles mean more hand-me-downs and less landfill waste.

We partner with suppliers who meet the highest global standards for sustainability.

  • Organic Content Standard (OCS) 3.0

Verifies the organic fiber content in our products.

  • Global Recycled Standard (GRS) 4.0

Ensures recycled fibers are tracked and responsibly produced.

  • Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) 2.0

Confirms the authenticity and chain of custody of recycled materials.

This means every piece made from these yarns is backed by independent, third-party certification — so you can trust what you’re putting on your baby’s skin.

Why it Matters

As a mom, I know that what we put on our little ones matters. Every decision we make at Tenth & Pine — from fabric to packaging — is rooted in love for our children and respect for the world they’ll inherit.

FAQs

Why is organic cotton better?

Organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, which means it’s safer for farmers, better for the environment, and gentler on your baby’s skin. It also uses significantly less water and helps keep toxic chemicals out of our soil and waterways — making it a healthier choice for future generations.

What does GOTS-certified organic cotton mean?

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) verifies that our cotton is grown without harmful chemicals and processed responsibly from seed to stitch. Learn more here.

Where are your products made?

Our Signature Collection is milled, cut, sewn, and finished right here in the USA using imported GOTS-certified organic yarns — ensuring exceptional quality and supporting local makers.

Our adult styles are crafted by trusted partners around the world, then printed and shipped from our USA facilities so every piece meets our standards before it reaches you.

Are your inks safe for babies?

Yes. We use water-based, non-toxic inks and low-waste printing methods that are gentle on sensitive skin and better for the planet.

What makes your packaging eco-friendly?

Our mailers use D2W technology and break down in about two years into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass. We recommend recycling them at flexible-plastics drop-off locations.
